Nursery Workshops

Fresh Arts Tiny Frogs is the name of our specialist classes for the Early Years and Foundation Stage. Our Tiny Frogs programme is split into two strands, Dancing Frogs and Drama Frogs. Children sing, dance and act with our fun mascot Freddie the Frog and you can choose a Speech and Drama focus or a Dance and Movement focus.
All of our sessions are especially designed to support your nursery in achieving your Early Years and Foundation Stage learning goals and include original songs, rhymes and games.

Communication & Language

Fresh Arts Tiny Frogs Programme has lots of built in opportunities for developing communication and language and gives children the opportunities to experience a rich language environment.

We have built in opportunities for communication and speech through both the Drama Frogs and Dance Frogs programmes with chances for children to share ideas and opinions and contribute to the drama improvisation. During drama children have lots of chances to speak including a changing weekly introductory activity, choosing what to pack in their bags and expressing what they liked best in the session.

Physical Development

The Fresh Arts Tiny Frogs Programme is designed to provide opportunities for young children to be active and interactive and to develop their co-ordination, control and movement. Each session is designed with the children’s physical development in mind. Each week during Drama Frogs children participate in a fun physical warm up and an interactive physical adventure which gets their bodies moving.

Dance Frogs take this further by exposing the children to different ways of moving, including gallops, jumps and turns. Children’s co-ordination improves through learning fun original dance routines.

Personal, Social & Emotional Development

Participating in the Fresh Arts Tiny Frogs Programme helps children with their personal, social and emotional development, and involves helping children to develop their self-esteem and to succeed in trying new things.

Our sessions also help children to develop their social skills and to understand appropriate behaviour in groups.

Understanding the World

Participation in Drama Frogs helps children to make sense of their physical world and their community through opportunities to explore, observe and find out about people, places, and the environment through dramatic play and exploration of different stories and themes. Dancing Frogs is linked into different themes and children have the chance to learn dances from different cultures and learn about different styles of dance.

Expressive Arts and Design

Participating in Fresh Arts Tiny Frogs gives children plenty of opportunities to share their thoughts, ideas and feelings through a variety of activities in music, movement, dance, and role-play.
